Short-Term Deacon’s Duties & Responsibilities

우리는 하나님의 일군으로서, 성령 안에서 서로 협력하며 사랑과 은혜를 나눌 때

그리스도의 몸된 교회를 건강하게 세울 수 있습니다.

성경 디모데전서 3:8-13절은 우리에게 본보기가 되는 집사의 모습을 말씀하고 있습니다.

As God’s workers, we cooperate with one another in the Holy Spirit and share love and grace. We can build up the body of Christ, the church, in a healthy way. In the Bible, 1 Timothy 3:8-13 describes the example of a deacon to us.

“이와 같이 집사들도 정중하고 일구이언을 하지 아니하고 술에 인박히지 아니하고 더러운 이를 탐하지 아니하고 깨끗한 양심에 믿음의 비밀을 가진 자라야 할지니 이에 이 사람들을 먼저 시험하여 보고 그 후에 책망할 것이 없으면 집사의 직분을 맡게 할 것이요 여자들도 이와 같이 정숙하고 모함하지 아니하며 절제하며 모든 일에 충성된 자라야 할지니라 집사들은 한 아내의 남편이 되어 자녀와 자기 집을 잘 다스리는 자일지니 집사의 직분을 잘한 자들은 아름다운 지위와 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음에 큰 담력을 얻느니라.” (디모데전서 3:8-13)

“Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 3:8-13)

성경 말씀에 근거하여 같은 내용을 서약함으로 자원하는 마음으로 서리 집사 직분을 감당해 주시길 바랍니다. By pledging the same things on the basis of the words of the Scriptures, with a willing heart I hope you will take on the short-term deaconship of the office.

본인은 예수 그리스도를 구주로 고백한 침례교인으로서 베다니 교회의 치리와 지도에 순복하며 서리집사로서 아래의 사항들을성실히수행할 것을 서약합니다.

I am a Baptist who has confessed Jesus Christ as my Savior and is a member of the Bethany Church I pledge to be obedient to governance and guidance and to faithfully perform the following as a short-term deacon during the year:

1. 교회의 공적 예배에 열심히 참석하겠습니다.
2. 매일 말씀과 기도로 경건한 생활에 힘쓰겠습니다.
3. 제직회를 비롯하여 직분자로서 참석해야 할 회의에 빠지지 않겠습니다.
4. 모든 생활 속에서 그리스도를 닮은 말과 행동을 하겠습니다.
5. 성도로서 마땅히 드려야 할 헌금을 정직하게 드리겠습니다.
6. 교회 리더십의 지도에 겸손하게 따르며, 사랑하며 위하여 늘 기도하겠습니다.
7. 교회의 비전과 사역 (봉사)에 적극적으로 동참하겠습니다.

1. I will be eager to attend the public worship services of the church.
2. I will strive to live a godly life through words and prayers every day.
3. I will not miss the weaving meetings and other meetings that I have to attend as a worker.

4. I will say and act like Christ in all my life.
5. We will honestly give offerings that we should give as believers.
6. I will humbly follow the guidance of the leadership of the Church, and I will always pray for you with love.

7. I will actively participate in the vision and ministry(service) of the church.
